Pink or Blue? No more! Parents to be Swati Mehrotra and Lalit Kumar breaking colour barriers at their Baby shower.
Swati Mehrotra of SwatiModo is all set to embrace parenthood with her husband Lalit Kumar. The two are expecting their twins together sometime during mid-2022. They were seen enjoying a lovely Baby Shower with yummy food, friends and family. The theme for the baby shower was freshness and how to be gender neutral. Guests were seen embracing the concept, girls flaunted blue colour while men were seen in pink to break the gender-biased colour this was a cute initiative.
While baby clothing and other accoutrements have seen various changes in style in recent years, one tradition persists: pink is for girls and blue is for boys. “There shouldn’t be just two colours. Even a rainbow has more options than we allow our kids,” says Swalit. Swati and her husband Lalit are among the small population of the new generation of parents, who want to break the mould for their kids. Their primary aim is to break colour stereotypes of pink and blue within the binary of two dominant genders, male and female.
At the child shower party, both Swati and her husband Lalit were seen twinning in white & mint green outfits. Lalit wore a floral print shirt to his better half’s child shower celebration, he conveyed a white western outfit. Lalit looked very attractive in this look. Simultaneously, Swati looked very charming in a mint green-coloured western gown. Swati & Lalit got hitched to one another in the year 2016. Presently the couple is expecting twins in September.
Swati reveals that she is looking forward to becoming a mother for the first time. “I am really happy to be pregnant. I am very excited. I am feeling strong. I am surprised by my energy. Our house will ReSound soon. Can’t wait to meet my babies,” she says.
Other than that, ladies were seen enjoying sit-down dinners and some amazing baby shower games along with personalised goodies. The decor was nicely planned and executed by the Design mischief of Vidushi Mehrotra and Baby bless of Ferns and petals. Guests enjoyed the concept and partied till the wee hours. Guests present were Anuj Lalwani (fashion stylist), Rinkoo shroff, Pooja Motwani, Rapper Maddy, Pranay Sachdeva, Amit Saxena, and Sarthak Verma to name a few.
