Let’s dive into the interview with the author to know the journey behind “Dessert Reboot”

How did you decide to come up with your reboot series?

I adopted veganism about 5 years back and started experimenting with vegan recipes which were loved and appreciated by my folks and friends and eventually started conducting vegan and gluten-free cooking (cheese, desserts, pieces of bread, and bakes) at various cookery studious. My clients would often ask me for clean, vegan, and gluten-free recipes and I realized I need to document these recipes in one place so that it is easy for me to share them with them while documenting these recipes the idea of writing a recipe guide dawned over me which could help not only my clients but anyone and everyone who wished to eat clean and healthy.

What is the reboot series all about?

The reboot series is no ordinary recipe book but an all-in-one guide that includes information on the right ways to cook with healthy ingredients and combinations to maximize the nutrient quotient of that particular food category. All the recipes are vegan, gluten-free and additionally amped up with superfoods to add that extra nutrition and healing benefits to the recipes. The books also have a special #NRRECOMMENDS section, which is a recommendation of my most trusted ingredients and appliance brand to ease your procurement process.

So what is special about dessert reboot? Why did you think of writing about desserts?

We all love to eat desserts and sweets but most often feel guilty or are scared of the excess calorie intake after eating them. Also, conventional desserts are made with refined sugar, refined flour, and unhealthy ingredients which causes all health troubles. But the sweet taste per se is not a problem if made with healthier ingredients. That’s why I felt that the desserts needed an absolute reboot and came up with this book of 75+ everything refined-free recipes including Indian sweets, baked desserts, no-bake desserts, ice-creams and much more, for people to enjoy their favorite sweets guilt-free.

What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

It felt like a complete informative read and an easy-to-follow recipe guide for a person who is interested in learning about healthy sweet alternatives and experimenting with making their own desserts.

Do you have another plot (book) brewing?

I have more titles in the pipeline like salads, mains, and appetizers and with these books, I intend to break the notion that healthy is bland and boring to healthy is fun and delicious!
